Privacy Policy — Prode 2026

Version v2 · Effective from

Executive summary

Prode 2026 collects only the minimum data needed for the game to work (account, predictions and user settings). We don't sell, rent or share your data with third parties for our own commercial purposes. The app is free and supported by ads served by Google AdMob — see the Advertising section for details.

Data we collect

When you sign up and use the app, we store:

  • Account data: email, name (display name), username (@handle), preferred language, profile picture (optional, uploaded by you).
  • Game data: your predictions (predicted score, goalscorers), tournaments you belong to, earned points, ranking.
  • Technical data: push notification token (Expo Push Token) if you enabled notifications, unique account identifier (UUID).
  • Advertising identifiers (processed by Google AdMob, not by us): IDFA on iOS if you grant ATT permission, GAID on Android. If you don't grant it, AdMob only receives a non-persistent identifier and serves non-personalized ads.

We don't collect: location, contacts, browsing history, financial data, or any information unrelated to the prediction game or ad operation.

Device permissions

  • Internet: required for login, fixture sync, saving your predictions and showing ads.
  • Notifications: optional. If enabled, we notify you when a match is about to close so you don't miss the kickoff, and when a match finishes with your earned points.
  • Photo library: only when you tap "Change avatar". We access only the photo you select, not your entire library. The photo is uploaded to our storage to be associated with your profile.
  • Tracking (iOS 14.5+): optional. On first launch iOS shows Apple's ATT prompt. If you deny, ads are still shown but non-personalized.

We don't access camera, microphone, contacts, location nor device files.

Third parties

Prode 2026 uses the following services:

  • Supabase (backend): hosts the database, authentication and avatar storage. Data is stored on their servers with encryption at rest and in transit. Supabase privacy policy.
  • Expo Push Notifications: for sending you push notifications. Only receives your device token + the message content. Expo privacy policy.
  • Google Sign-In (optional): if you choose to log in with Google. Google privacy policy.
  • Apple Sign-In (optional, iOS only): if you choose to log in with Apple. Apple privacy policy.
  • Google AdMob (advertising): serves the ads inside the app. Receives advertising identifiers and technical data of the ad request. Google privacy policy · How Google uses your data.
  • Google UMP (User Messaging Platform): shows the GDPR/CCPA consent form when applicable and stores your choice.
  • Football-Data.org: public API used to sync the tournament fixture and results. We don't send any of your data to it — it's a read-only API.
  • API-Football: public API used to sync squads and players. We don't send any of your data to it either.

Player and team data

Fixture information, results, teams and squads from the tournament are public data provided by the APIs mentioned above. They're not personal data of yours.

Advertising

Prode 2026 is free. To sustain its development and operation, we show ads served by Google AdMob in four formats:

  • Banner: on the Fixture screen.
  • Native: sponsored cards interleaved every few matches in the list.
  • Interstitial: full-screen after confirming a prediction, with a minimum 3-minute throttle between appearances.
  • Rewarded: optional ad you trigger to unlock certain sections (e.g. extended top of the global ranking) for 24 hours.

Personalization:

  • On iOS, if you accept the ATT prompt, ads can be personalized based on your IDFA.
  • If you deny, or if you're in a region covered by GDPR/CCPA and reject the UMP form, ads are shown non-personalized (lower eCPM for us, no persistent identifier used).
  • On Android, system settings are honored ("Reset advertising ID" / "Delete advertising ID").

How to change your choice:

  • iOS: System Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → Prode 2026.
  • Android: Settings → Google → Ads.
  • If you're in EU/UK/Switzerland/California: Google's UMP form re-opens automatically when there are substantial changes to partners.

Your rights (GDPR / CCPA / LGPD)

You have the right to:

  • Access the data we have about you.
  • Rectify incorrect data (you can edit name, username and photo from Profile).
  • Delete your account and all your data from the app itself: Profile → Danger zone → Delete my account. Profile, predictions, friendships, notifications and devices are deleted immediately. Tournaments you own are transferred to the oldest member (or deleted if you were alone). Alternatively, email us at desarrollar.app.arg@gmail.com with subject "Delete Prode 2026 account".
  • Data portability: we send you a JSON export of your predictions and account data on request.
  • Object to processing or withdraw your consent — including the advertising consent via the UMP form.

Minors

Prode 2026 is intended for users 13 years and older. We don't knowingly collect data from minors under 13. If you discover that a minor is using the app without parental permission, contact us and we'll delete the account.

Data retention

We keep your data while your account is active. If you request deletion (in-app or by email), we delete it within 30 days. Backups rotate within 90 days max.

Security

We use HTTPS encryption for all communication, secure password hashing (provided by Supabase Auth), and RLS (Row Level Security) on the database so a user can never read another user's data.

Changes to this policy

If we update the policy, we publish the new version with its effective date at this same URL. If changes are substantial, we'll notify you via push or email.
